The Gilmore Park Strummers meet on Sundays at noon, upstairs in the big "music room". We sing and play old favourites as well as songs and hymns from the church hymnbooks. We also like to play and perform at church services and other events. Our group has a variety of musical abilities and ukulele skill levels. All are welcome. Celebrating Our Sixth Anniversary!
On Jan 28, 2018 the Strummers started with four lessons for a group of 17 people. These four sessions have turned into continuing our ukulele group for 6 years! We persevered through Covid by having our sessions on Zoom. We have lost several people due to moves or health issues but we have also added new strummers. In January, 15 of us had an anniversary party, with soup and cake and singing and playing and laughing! We continue each week because we have fun, make new friends, and most importantly laugh a lot. Anybody is welcome to join us!
